5 Day Guided Elk Hunt | Rifle Colorado & Collbran Colorado
Our designated elk hunting territories fall within game management units that require a minimum of a 4-point bull elk for a legal harvest. This regulation aids in ensuring that hunters have a higher probability of targeting and successfully harvesting a mature bull elk. Historically, the majority of our hunters have successfully taken bull elk that meet or exceed this 4-point requirement, with most of the bulls harvested falling within the 5- to 6-point category. These animals typically score between 250″ to 300″, although there are opportunities to harvest bulls exceeding 300″.
The varied landscape across our hunting grounds encompasses a diverse range of habitats. Hunters can expect to navigate through areas of dark timber and aspen groves, traverse rolling sagebrush hills and hay fields, explore river bottoms and open meadows, and stealthily move through areas dense with oak brush, as well as pinon-juniper and cedar woodlands. This diversity not only enhances the hunting experience but also accommodates different hunting styles and preferences.
We hunt in units 42 and 421 on over 8000 acres thoughout several different ranches. Elevations are from 5000 up to 10000 feet. This is a 100% spot and stalk style hunt from a truck and foot.
